Perisher Blue has opened the service trails for X-Country Biking. Some of the most accessible, fun and reasonably graded trails on offer! Meet us at Perisher Blue carpark with your bike or, we’ll bring the bikes and you bring the sense of adventure. The cool mountain air and open trails will make the Perisher to Smiggins Holes - Pipers Creek track fun and rewarding. Return via Kosciuszko Road to Perisher or arrange pick up at Smiggins. Reverse the journey and ride the dirt ride back to Smiggins from Wragges Creek..

SMIGGINS TO ISLAND BEND TRAILS - 16 kms
The summer link road from Smiggins Holes to Guthega Road traverses the Perisher Range to take you to the Snowy River Valley. This is a relatively easy ride on dirt road for around 9 ks before descending along the Guthega Road to arrive at the Island Bend camping ground for a picnic by the Snowy River. Meet at Smiggins Holes carpark. For a truly extended day after lunch continue on the dirt road to the service trail by the Snowy River to Waste Point. Add another 15 kms.

ISLAND BEND TRAILS - 5 kms
For that perfect family picnic - bring your bikes or hire from us - meet at Island Bend off the Guthega Road. Ride the dirt tracks around the Island Bend camping ground. See kangaroos grazing on the old airstrip, walk or ride a steep descent to the Snowy River or take a side track to an accessible open flood plain and dip your toes in the river. Picnic at one of the many shaded Island Bend spots during the oh-so-hot summers! Have a dip in the Snowy on us!

MUNYANG TO GEEHI VIA SCHLINK PASS - 30 kms
Much tougher for the tough! A steep ascent from the Snowy River at Munyang Power Station to Schlink Pass then fast descent to the Geehi River. Ride to Geehi Dam for pickup or for the truly ambitious add another 22 ks of dirt road and a bit of tar (3.6ks) on the Alpine Way back to Swampy Plain picnic grounds. A full day! Best in cooler weather - late autumn or early spring.

TOM GROGGIN PICNIC TRAILS (Cooler months best Autumn & Spring)
The Tom Groggin Camping ground is filled with life - kangaroos and birds and adjacent to the unspoilt Murray River. Relax for a few hours and cruise around the camping ground or hit the Davies Plain trail for some more challenging riding - return back to base for a cooling swim in the Murray River.

SWAMPY PLAINS TRAILS (Cooler months best Autumn & Spring)
Something really different and fun! If you like river rides with a little uphill riding and a cruisy return come with us on the Swampy Plain trails across the Victorian border! Spend the day out and about with a picnic lunch - cross the river on your bike, extend yourself up the Geehi Walls track alternatively cut back for a lateral reproach to the Geehi Flats camp ground. About 44 ks along the Alpine Way from Thredbo - a good full day trip or spend the night by the river. First come best spot. Plenty to do. Toilets on site. No open fires during the fire season.
