| Armando
started rock climbing in the Dolomites in his teens
and has continued his passion - climbing and mountaineering
- throughout his life. Armando Corvini is a well known
person in climbing circles not just because of his considerable
experience and leadership. He has visited the Himalayas
more than a dozen times including Ama Dablam and Pumori.
As a qualified outdoor instructor and guide Armando
has worked over the years with Schools and Colleges
on Camps, rock climbing, abseiling and caving trips.
Recently, he opened a new, accessible crag in Canberra
adding to his considerable repertoire of ACT climbing
at Baroomba Rocks and White Rocks. As much as he loves
climbing locally, Armando has rock climbed and mountaineered
in many parts of the world including Australia, New
Zealand, Italian Dolomites, Slovenjans Alps and the
Himalayas. Armando is a charismatic person and very
much of the Australian climbing scene and an active
member of the Canberra Climbing Club. He enjoys being
with young and not so young peoples (!), is environmentally
conscious and very much loves the great outdoors.
