Matt Barnes is a freelance climbing guide working for a range of outdoor operators. From children to adults - Matt is in his element caring for his clients whether walking, climbing & abseiling, snow shoeing with school groups and this winter, cross country skiing. Matt applies his human skills to the challenges of the outdoor adventure world where he spends most of his ‘work time’ guiding climbing and walking. Now his favourite pasttime and profession, guiding enables Matt to give people the opportunity to challenge themselves beyond their levels of comfort and extend their boundaries in a safe and controlled environment. During Matt’s time in the outdoor and adventure industry he has made fast progress, quickly extending his own boundaries and also becoming a certified abseiling & climbing instructor. Matt makes the most of every opportunity to refine his skills whilst climbing and working with other guides and is fast building his trad and sports climbing repertoire.
