Steve Bickerstaff has a passion for steep and deep skiing in remote places! Over 25 years Steve has centred his life personally and professionally around mountains and skiing including being Olympic XC Coach for India in Kashmir. He was also the Australian Telemark FIS speed skiing champion 3 times and still holds the record! Steve has worked with the 'Kids on Top' and 'Gore Wilderness Program' - taking young people into the mountains during winter for extended periods of time - and has also guided young people for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Steve's mountain life includes an abundance of commercial backcountry guiding experience, as a ski model for photographers and ski films as well as contributing to the National Outdoor Industry Training Package and as a Volunteer Ski Patroller for Thredbo. One of his passions includes training members of Ski Clubs and drawing on his extensive experience, qualifications and ultimately, time in the mountains of NZ, Australia, North America, Europe, the Himalayas and Japan.
