Vanessa Knee - aka Vee - is the founder of Jindabyne Girl Riders, a
locally-born business that has clocked up numerous, mountain bike skills clinics in the Snowy Mountains. Along with her
highly popular specialised clinics for women and kids, she is often the lead guide for school groups learning to ride
on the local trails. Vee moved to the Snowy Mountains 30 years ago as a passionate skier and now lives for the summers
and her love of mountain and road biking. Having chased back-to-back snow seasons for over ten years in Red Mountain,
Chamonix and Whistler, she all of a sudden had her first taste of mountain biking!
An early 1990s Whistler summer set Vee on her mtb pathway and she soon took to racing the state
and national series in Oz including the XC World Cup in Sydney in 1999. Twenty years since she first started, her
passion for mountain biking grows and Vee can be found racing in mtb events and road riding for fun!
With a great reputation as a ski and mountain bike athlete, as a Personal Trainer, Aerial Yoga
Instructor, Outdoor Guide and former Ski Instructor, Vee has much to offer as a Skills Coach and Guide.
to run regular specialised clinics for women and kids in the Snowy Mountains along with mixed adult sessions.
She is also a “She Rides” leader for Cycling Australia and has brought CA mountain bike programs to the Snowy Mountains
to promote women’s riding. Vee is a certified MTBA Coach and holds her PMBIA
(http://www.pmbia.org/courses/level-1/) Level 1 Instructor qualification.
For beginners to advanced riders, Vee is available for private and group lessons, half day,
full day and multi day tours.
