The K7 Mountaineering School is made up of several disciplines involving winter scenarios of snow and ice.
For intermediate to advanced skiers,
this tour will take you into the serious and steep terrain
in the Snowy Mountains where you ski the chutes and
snow climb out using basic snow climbing equipment:
ice axes crampons, ropes and harness. Go with a fully
experienced K7 Guide to the Leatherbarrel, Club Lake
or Watson’s Crags.

A new and challenging
adventure for snow lovers! Put on a harness and crampons,
pick up an ice tool and rope up. Good introduction for
aspiring mountaineers to learn the essentials of safety
in a mountain environment; rope management skills, arrest,
belaying, ascent and descent techniques. Close to Thredbo
walk out on snow shoes and strap on the crampons at

Ice climbing in the Snowy Mountains is superb and limited
to ‘best conditions’ determined by the weather
and quality of the ice. Ice Climb at Blue Lake with
a fully experienced local guide. Camp in the snow or
overnight at Charlotte Pass or Guthega then climb to
your heart’s content. Return on snow shoes or
for competent skiers, ski back to base. This trip is
for competent natural rock climbers, proficient in safe
belay techniques, able to second and manage ropes.
