Days a Week!
Snow Mountains bushwalking is unique and varied from
high country walks to the forested sub-alpine terrain
with its abundance of wildlife, wildflowers and alpine
huts. We can offer you a range of satisfying walks that
inspire, uplift and exhilarate you. The walking season
opens late October (you may need snow shoes in the alpine
area) and extends right through to the end of May just
before the first winter snows. Walking in the Australian
alpine area is truly addictive with its cool temperatures
and lofty altitudes with stunning views. K7 Adventures
will take you to some very special places!

The Ramsheads adventure walk takes you to the Kosciuszko
Lookout then ‘off route’ to visit some ancient
rock formations, capture scenes of the steep western
fall of the Great Dividing Range with the Victorian
High Country lacing the horizon and across the top of
the rocky watersheds before joining the Dead Horse Gap

Walk.
DEAD HORSE GAP - 10 kms
From the top of Thredbo at Eagle’s Nest we will
guide you along the Dead Horse Gap track and show you
micro-climates and environments that attract special

the snow gums and open frost hollows as the views open
towards the Pilot Wilderness. Return to Thredbo via

ALPINE WILDFLOWER WALK - 5 - 8 kms
Absolute ‘must do’ for nature lovers. This
relaxing and uplifting outing takes you and your family
to the flowers! Take your time, enjoy the flowers and
their individual niches in nature, take photos, marvel
and realise the unique beauty that is the biodiverse,
Australian alpine flora. The evolution of flowering
plants began over 400 million years ago when Australia
was part of the super-continent, Gondwana. Then, as
the continents drifted apart, the geographical isolation
of Australia created the stunning botanical natural
wonder of the world, that is the Kosciuszko alpine flora.
Come with us on the Alpine Wildflower Walk into a natural
floriade!
