WHAT TO BRING

GRADE 1: STROLLER

  • 1. Meet your guide at Aldo’s Cafe in the Perisher Ski Tube Terminal. They will be wearing a K7 Adventures Jacket and holding a bunch of snowshoes!

    Undertake a quick gear check and receive your Snowshoes and poles.

    2. Depart the busy resort and venture up the Rock Creek Valley opposing Perisher Resort.

    3. Recieve an introduction to the local Indigenous culture, acknowledging the country you're in.

    4. Journey through enchanting Snowgum forests, unveiling views of Charlotte's Pass and Australia's highest peaks. As you ascend Crackenback Ridge, you'll be greeted by ancient granite tors and sweeping vistas down to Lake Jindabyne, all set amidst the backdrop of windswept, ancient Snowgums. This part of the trek not only offers a visual feast but also a connection to the timeless beauty of the Australian high country.

    6. Commence your descent along a different route to experience varied perspectives of the stunning winter landscape.

    7. Return to the Perisher, wrapping up your half-day exploration with reflections on the journey and a sharing of photos.

    This itinerary offers a glimpse into the majestic beauty of the Kosciuszko Alpine Area, with a focus on the snowgums that characterize the region. It's an ideal tour for those looking to experience the alpine landscape in a short, accessible format.

    F: Your group must be able to hike comfortably for 5-6 hours with regular rest intervals. We offer half-day Snowshoe tours for those wishing to test the waters first.
