About The Kosciuszko National Park

Kosciuszko National Park is Australia's highest national park. The park takes it’s name from Australia’s Highest Peak - Mount Kosciuszko. This was named by Polish Explorer Paul Strezlecki. The Snowy Mountains is the traditional land of the Walgal people and the Ngarigo people. It was a meeting place, used for ceremony and trade. The park is home to plenty of endemic species of flora and fauna. It is now a popular destination for adventurers and nature lovers alike. Here, you can immerse yourself in stunning hikes, exhilarating skiing, and a host of outdoor activities. Stay in the valleys or camp out in the park for close encounters with wildlife.
