Meet your Mountain Guides:
A collective of exceptional guides, each bringing decades of expertise and an unwavering commitment to your safety and transformation in the Australian Alps.
⁕ Experts in the Elements ⁕
Every K7 guide is a specialist — chosen not just for technical skill, but for their deep connection to these mountains. Each brings a unique perspective and years of hard-won expertise to your adventure.
We believe the mountains demand respect, and safety is non-negotiable. But within that framework, we create space for genuine adventure, personal growth, and moments that stay with you forever.
Familiar Faces on the Mountain
-
Hamish Reid
Our renaissance man and host with the most. Hamish guides with a smile, endless mountain facts, and a genuine knack for going the extra mile. A great listener and outdoor ed guide who's been part of the K7 family for over three years.
-
Matty Nethery
Backcountry guide, photographer and videographer rolled into one. Big vibes, fun energy, and you'll likely walk away with some cracking snaps too. Matty knows the Thredbo backcountry like the back of his hand. Check out his work here.
-
Leah Foster
The 'other' K7 director and behind-the-scenes sibling. When she's not running things from the office, you'll spot her with a camera capturing content — or close-ups of moss on snowgums, her favourite thing to shoot.
-
Bridie Rawson
Smooth talker, big smiler, and founder of Tough Tits Co — a project championing equality in the snow industry. Expect an extremely enjoyable day in the mountains!
-
Callum Brierley
Full-time frother and lover of all things outdoors. You'll find him sunscreened up to the max (safety first) and out exploring on every day off. Guaranteed good banter and good times with Cal.
-
Alice Winter
Another backcountry frother and Aussie Alps addict. Friendly and lovely — you'll always have a cruisy day out while exploring with Alice.
-
James Collins
Our mountaineering up-and-comer. Working at the Australian School of Mountaineering and in outdoor ed, Jimmy is cool, calm, collected and one of the best conversationalist’s on the hill. You'll learn alot!
-
Kaspar Ree
Our favourite mullet on the mountain. Kaspar runs Alpine Backcountry Japan, and in winter he lends us his skills and banter on the hill.
-
Divya Gordon
You'll find her mountain goating around, no poles, hands full of Nikons. This talented filmmaker and Nikon creator is behind the Aussie backcountry film MAVEN. She might be there to interview you or simply to capture your amazing day out.
-
Carleigh Burns
Our regular yoga teacher and retreat guide. Obsessed with cacao (and fair enough — her brand Quantum Cacao is delicious), Carleigh brings the energy, vibes and wisdom through her practice at Manas Mastery.
-
Joel Hodge
Photographer, ski tuner and adventurer. Always up for a chat and guaranteed to get some great photos of your day. Joel simply loves the mountains.
-
Ange Malysheva
Rock climbing and mountaineering queen based in Bright. Ange runs RAWQ — a community initiative creating safe spaces for women and queer rock climbers to build skills and confidence.
-
Katie Eisenhauer
Local running coach and sports nutritionist behind Run Snowy Mountains. Katie jumps on for running clinics and brings expertise in fuelling mountain adventures.
-
Pablo Urena
Our go-to running coach in the Snowies, behind the coaching business and community Chase Running. This Costa Rican found his way to the mountains — and thank goodness he did, helping us build stamina on technical trails.
