Simone ‘Simmee’ Odlem | Mountain Guide
Backcountry Ski Guide | Snowshoe Guide
Simmee grew up on the South Coast of NSW, spending winter weekends visiting the Snowy Mountains with her family. After moving to the mountains full-time, she's spent the past five years guiding in Kosciuszko National Park and chasing northern winters in Alberta, Canada.
Her backcountry experience in both Australian and Canadian terrain has given her a strong foundation in avalanche awareness, route selection, and group management across different snow conditions. Simmee holds a Certificate III in Outdoor Leadership, Wilderness First Aid, and Level 1 and 2 Avalanche Skills certifications.
She's passionate about introducing people to the beauty of the Australian Alps beyond the resort boundaries, whether through backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, or winter camping experiences. Her guiding style is patient, safety-focused, and built on helping clients feel comfortable in mountain environments.
Known for her consistently positive client feedback, Simmee brings enthusiasm and technical knowledge to every tour — and firmly believes a good backcountry hot chocolate is essential for any successful day in the mountains.
