Why Alpine Education in Kosciuszko National Park?

Alpine environments create transformational learning that's impossible to replicate elsewhere. Yes, the terrain is demanding and the conditions are real—that's precisely why the outcomes are so profound. With K7's specialist expertise, your students experience genuine challenge within a framework of expert safety management, proven systems, and guides who've been navigating these mountains for over a decade. The result? Students discover new capabilities in an environment most Australians never experience.

Choose Your Equipment:

Let nature be their teacher.

Every school is different. Different year levels, different goals, different capabilities, different budget’s. That's why every K7 program is custom-designed for your requirements.

Tell us what you're trying to achieve: whether it's expedition skills for Year 9, introductory alpine experience for Year 6, or a capstone challenge for senior students—and we'll build the program that delivers it. We handle the complexity: equipment logistics, permits, risk documentation, weather-ready alternatives, and all the details that can make backcountry programs feel impossible.

You focus on your students. We'll handle getting them onto the snow and back from the mountains safely.

  • Day-Tour Programs

Day Programs & Skill Development Courses

Ranging from single-day snow safety clinics to 3-day telemark skill intensives, our day-tour programs make alpine education accessible without the commitment of multi-day expeditions.

Students stay in comfortable accommodation and spend their days on snow—learning telemark techniques, practising backcountry safety protocols, and building confidence in alpine terrain. Perfect for schools new to winter programs or groups seeking focused skill development.

    What's Included:

    Backcountry safety fundamentals

  • Expedition Programs

    Multi-Day Backcountry Expeditions

3-5 days living and learning in the alpine backcountry. Students establish remote basecamps, tour across the Main Range , and develop genuine self-sufficiency in one of Australia's most demanding environments.

This is expedition education: snow camping, navigation in variable conditions, avalanche awareness, and leadership under real pressure. By the time students return to the trailhead, they've proven to themselves what they're capable of.

    What's Included:

Gear Familiarisation and skills focused clinic before heading out on ex-ped

    Backcountry basecamp operations
