Snowshoeing
Perfect for schools that want a focused alpine learning experience without the added challenge of skiing.
Snowshoeing is accessible for all ages and abilities, making it ideal for shorter introductory programs or multi-day expeditions where the priority is snow camping, navigation, and winter survival skills. It keeps the cognitive load low so students can concentrate on teamwork, environmental awareness, and moving safely through the alpine. -

Telemark Skiing (Nordic Backcountry)
Designed for students with zero to limited skiing experience — and for schools wanting a program that’s centred around learning to ski.
Telemark is playful, progressive, and suited to rolling terrain. It works beautifully as a three-day “learn to telemark ski” program or as part of a longer expedition. Students develop glide, balance, and control while travelling efficiently on lightweight gear, making it an engaging step between snowshoeing and alpine touring. -

Alpine Touring (AT Skiing)
Best for select groups of upper-intermediate to advanced skiers — this is the most technical option.
AT programs are a natural extension for schools with existing resort-based ski programs where students have already demonstrated solid downhill competence. This pathway shows students how their skills transfer into real backcountry terrain. AT can be delivered as a centre-based program or a multi-day expedition, offering a significant challenge and a genuine sense of achievement.

Day-Tour Programs
Day Programs & Skill Development Courses
Ranging from single-day snow safety clinics to 3-day telemark skill intensives, our day-tour programs make alpine education accessible without the commitment of multi-day expeditions.Students stay in comfortable accommodation and spend their days on snow—learning telemark techniques, practising backcountry safety protocols, and building confidence in alpine terrain. Perfect for schools new to winter programs or groups seeking focused skill development.

Expedition Programs
Multi-Day Backcountry Expeditions
3-5 days living and learning in the alpine backcountry. Students establish remote basecamps, tour across the Main Range , and develop genuine self-sufficiency in one of Australia's most demanding environments.This is expedition education: snow camping, navigation in variable conditions, avalanche awareness, and leadership under real pressure. By the time students return to the trailhead, they've proven to themselves what they're capable of.

K7 Adventures offers Duke of Edinburgh Programs: Bronze to Gold, practice & qualifying journeys. We also train D of E Staff.

K7 Adventures is here to support you to achieve your goals for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. We aim to help young people build lifelong belief in themselves, to push boundaries, to take on new challenges and discover another potential. When you prove to yourself that you can push yourself to your limits and above this, you are ready for anything in life, and nothing will hold you back.
Our Adventurous Journeys programs are run by highly experienced and qualified instructors and supported by a dedicated 24 hour Program Coordination team. K7 Adventures instructors create impactful experiences where participants are supported to challenge themselves socially, emotionally and physically.
We provide all levels of programs for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
Important Information
We require a minimum of 10 people for a booking. All bookings and numbers must be confirmed at least 10 days prior to the start of the program. Gear and equipment (backpacks, tents, etc) can be hired at an additional fee.
