Backcountry Progression Sessions

Backcountry Progression Sessions [BPS] are an educational and empowering series of tours, designed to equip attendees with the skills and confidence needed for planning and enjoying their own backcountry adventures. Led by experienced guides these sessions cover objectives like developing a mountain mindset as well as practical skills like ski touring set-up, navigation, ice axes and crampons. Participants are encouraged to push their comfort zones while ensuring safety in our often challenging mountain environment.

Backcountry Progression
Sessions for
Locals + Seasonaires:

You and up to 4 mates pick three days throughout the season to train towards your group’s objectives. You’ll have one of K7’s guides from sunrise to sunset to workshop the morning meeting, weather hazard assessment, route planning and gear. This is the most affordable, safe, and fun way to get the most out of your days in the backcountry with your mates. A wise investment for those just starting out or unfamiliar with the Australian Alpine Terrain.
