WHAT TO BRING

  • Meeting point Cascade Trailhead

    Morning Sessions 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

    Start Dead Horse Gap, Cascade Trailhead.

    8:30 AM - Gather at Dead Horse Gap. Introduction and safety briefing.

    8:45 AM - Commence the tour with a leisurely ride, enjoying the natural beauty up the Thredbo River and through the Big Boggy. Ascend Bob's Ridge with amazing views over the pilot wilderness and the Ramshead Range. Enjoy the descent to Cascades Hut

    10:30 AM - Arrive at Cascades Hut, and explore the historic site. Lean your bike up against the original horse rails. Enjoy morning tea and take in the tranquil surroundings.

    11:00 PM - Thank your e-bike as you commence the climb back up and out of the Cascade Valley.

    12:30 PM -Arrive back at Dead Horse Gap. Conclude with group photos.

  • Approx 300-metre vertical descent down Bob’s Ridge into the Cascade’s Valley.

    Visual highlights include alpine ash, snow gums, wild horses, wildflowers, Main Range Views, Thredbo River, and the Historic Cascades Hut.

  • The Cascades Hut E-bike Tour is ideally suited for strong beginners in biking, offering an excellent opportunity for those comfortable on a bike to further develop their skills. Participants should have a basic understanding of biking techniques, with the e-bike doing most of the heavy lifting.
