    3 Day Tour:     Optional climb Mt Kosciuszko & Ramshead North, plus sunrises & sunsets near camp.

    4 Day Tour: Option to Climb Mt Kosciuszko, Mt Ramshead, Ramshead North, visit Cootabatamba hut, plus sunrises & sunsets near camp.

  • E: This tour is most commonly done using Snowshoes making it accessible for complete beginners to the snow.
    It can also be booked as an introduction to snow camping for more advanced skiers and split boarders.

    F: Prior fitness levels from hiking with a pack are desirable.

  • July 3-6 (3 place left); 9 -12 (3 place left), July 14-16 (4 places left) 19-21; and 30 or 31-2 August

  • Packing.
    To save time on day one, we do the 2.5-hour briefing the day before your trip at 3 pm in Jindabyne.

    Day One: 3-4 Hours on the trail x 6 km mainly uphill Medium with big packs to set up base camp for 2-3 nights

    Day Two: roughly 8-12 km of hiking with lighter day packs.

  • Camping provides a unique opportunity to watch the sunset over snow-covered mountains before you settle down for the night in your warm four-season sleeping bag. You will learn essential skills for the wilderness: where and how to set up camp, build a snow shelter (conditions permitting), cook a hot meal and drink, navigation, group management, hydration, and how to prevent hypothermia.
